This gentle soap is made from 100% natural ingrediants and contains lanolin, a substance naturally extracted from sheep's wool. Lanolin is renowned for its unique properties, which protect and care for both wool and silk like no other washing product can. But why is lanolin so essential for wool clothing?
Lanolin acts as a natural protector. It is the same oily substance sheep produce to shield their wool from harsh weather. When lanolin is added to your wool garments during washing, it creates a water-repellent barrier that protects the fibers, keeps them soft, and preserves their natural elasticity. This ensures that your wool garments maintain their shape, resist stains and water, and last longer - just as sheep have relied on lanolin for protection for centuries.
