The STRIPE Scarf is a wonderfully soft, airy scarf that can be used year-round. Designed and written by Mette Hvitved. It is knitted in Organic Wool 1 in colors 19, 09, and 50.
In winter, it's perfect for wrapping around your neck multiple times due to its long length, and in summer, it can be draped over your shoulder on a cool evening. The scarf is knitted in stripes with stockinette and garter stitch. The scarf is knitted in stripes with stockinette and garter stitch. It kints up quickly as you always want to add just one more stripe.
Berfore blocking, the scarf measures 170 cm x 30 cm, but the deesigner suggests blocking it to approx. 2 meters for a more airy feel. You will need 4 skeins of the main color and one skein of each contrasting color. If you're locky, you might manage with just 3 skeins of the main color, but it's cutting it close. 3 skeins plus a bit of leftover yarn should be enough.
