The classic twelve-pointed stars have been used in many crocheted variations. In this pattern, we use the classic version in double crochet stitches, which works well with our Organic Cotton. The classic shape stands on its own, as the tight double crochet stitches make it particularly suitable for placemats and trivets.
The pattern includes tips and guidance on how to adjust the size to match your exact needs. Additionally, you'll find useful instructions on how to achieve perfectly flat stars and how to block them to ensure sharp points.

MEASUREMENTS
Placemat:
37 cm in diameter from point to point and 31 cm in diameter at the narrowest part. Approx. 75 g of yarn is needed for one placemat.
Coaster:
24 cm in diameter from point to point and 19.5 cm in diameter at the narrowest part. Approx. 30 g of yarn is needed for one coaster.
You can easily adjust the sizes of the items to fit your needs by adding or omitting rounds.
