Please note: the book is only available in Danish
Two weeks before Kerry Lord gave birth to her son Edward, she started crocheting for the first time. Over the next 12 months, Edward's menagerie was developed. The menagerie consists of 40 unique stuffed animals, each with its own personality, impossible not to love. There is Highland Bull Daniel, who always reads all the labels when he shops for the family. Pony Charlotte is a businesswoman and the owner of a luxury spa for dogs. Elephant Birgit has a sweet tooth, and Rhino Otto is a pilot. Each of the 40 patterns in the book begins with a humorous description of the stuffed animal, followed by a step-by-step pattern at level 1, 2, or 3. The patterns can be varied in size, so the menagerie can be expanded to taste.
Edward's menagerie is very educational in its structure. There is information on everything you need to know to get started with crocheting. The patterns are simple, as all the animals are based on the same basic shape, making it manageable for a beginner. At the same time, there is also inspiration for the more experienced crocheter. Finally, there is good entertainment for those who are content with just reading about the lovely stuffed animals.
